Credentials
I was a c-Commerce consultant for Logica and oversaw the develepment of the adidas pdm system at quite a high level. I was responsible for quality, coding standards and developing the procedures for dealing with development problems.
I was accredited as an e-MCP by eMatrix after passing all my exams with 90%+ on their first ever course at their European training centre in Amsterdam
General
I am not so interested in websites. I think there is little point in impressing people with fancy graphics if your site crashes all over their computers.
I just do quick, simple, working pages like the ones you have seen.
My web sites are...
Simple to use.
I don't use additional frames which confuse users and crash computers.
Easy to find.
My sites can be found on searches. Competitors have lousy linkage and
their sites are lost in Internet obscurity (sometimes we need to pay someone to effect how your page is indexed - certain pages don't get to the head of the list by accident).
Impressive Graphics.
I have (in the past) produced animated polygon graphics (the Rolls Royce of Internet
graphics). My Java scripting is a third of the size of my competitors although I don't often use it so I am not a knowledgable java person. I am just a better programmer in general.
Correct and sensible
I CAN spell and punctuate correctly. My first job out of school was typesetter. This is where I learnt English properly (Ididn't know a ligature from a dipthong before that)
My general approach if I am a litle busy is to apply the principle of "The Division of
Labour" in computing. (an assembly line instead of a jack of all trades).
I believe I can cope with quite a lot of really challenging work using the project management skills I have as well as my technical skills.
